Conclusion

Some 240 people with (premalignant) actinic keratosis were included. Eleven months of treatment with celcoxib did not affect the number of keratosis, but reduced the rate of non melanoma skin cancers: relative risk 0.41, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.23 to 0.72, P=0.002.
