Conclusion

The addition of everolimus improved progression-free survival from 11.3 to 16.4 months (hazard ratio 0.77, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.59-1, P=0.026) in this study that initially randomized 429 patients. The dropout rate was high – 357 patients.
