Conclusion

There were no significant differences in outcome in this study that included 70 procedures. Early fistula success rates (68.6 per cent vs. 78.8 per cent after mapping, P=0.34), intervention-free survival (P=0.77) and overall fistula survival rates (P=0.92) were equivalent.
