Conclusion

There were five trials that included 458 participants. At both 1 and 5 years, dysphagia and gas-related symptoms were lower after 180-degree fundoplication. There was no difference between the procedures in heartburn scores, patient satisfaction, or need for oesophageal dilatation or reoperation.
