Conclusion

This was an interim analysis of a trial that included 2289 procedures. During mean follow-up of 2.49 years, compared to uncoated devices, patients who had treatment with paclitaxel-coated balloons or stents were no more likely to die: 9.9 versus 10.2 per cent respectively.
