Conclusion

In this study that included 182 patients with grade II-IV haemorrhoids, the stapled procedure resulted in less postoperative pain (P=0.004), and more patients rated the result excellent after three months (P=0.033). However, more patients in this group required retreatment for prolapse within one year (P=0.037).
