Conclusion

In this study that included 91 procedures, bleeding 4min after randomization was reduced with the fibrin pad compared to the local standard of care: 50 versus 84.7 per cent, P<0.0001. Mean time to haemostasis was also improved: 6.1 versus 17.8 min, P=0.01. Complication rates were similar.
