Conclusion

Some 7875 patients with a previous lower limb revascularization procedure were randomized, and followed for a median of 30 months to a composite end point including cardiovascular death, heart attack or stroke. The end point was reached by 11.4 per cent of treated patients and 11.3 per cent of controls.
