Conclusion

Subsequent renal function tests were similar in this study that included 40 patients randomized to urine output targets of 0.2ml/Kg/h or 0.5ml/Kg/h. The higher urine output target group received more intravenous fluid: 5490ml compared to 3170ml in the low output target group (P=0.0004).
